Para-Style Combat Rules
Para fighters must abide by the fighting rules of Cain:

Due to the fact that Freeformfighting "PARA" is becoming so popular in the Land of Cain we have decided to make it an official secondary option fighting style (Please note: Speed fighting is the main fighting style of Cain)

Now that there are two fighting systems; if a person claims they do para and the other speed and they do not agree to use the same style of fighting there will be no fight and both parties will be asked to stop to avoid arguments.

Freeform Para is a style that allows the player to expand their mind and be descriptive so everyone can get a better view of their characters personality and abilities. However please keep in mind no one is GOD; no one is immune to death, ect. Fights performed in para-style MUST stick to some sense of reality. You cannot perform "impossible" feats of strength or magic which your character is not capable of unless you can come up with a logical explanation that makes sense to everyone not just you.

EXAMPLE: Trying to burn a phoenix (which by the way is a fire creature) or being a human and you throw someone 40 feet away in a para fight. As you can see neither of these moves is logical, for you cannot burn what is made of fire and humans are not capable of such strength.

You do NOT confirm a strike you give the defending person a chance to accept it or dodge it however some restrictions apply (EXAMPLE: player 1 had his back turned as he swung his sword and player 2 struck him. In a logical sense it would be impossible to avoid the blow delivered by player 2 since player 1 could not see the blow coming to avoid it.)

A few things to keep in mind if you wish to use para-style:
    1. We are here to roleplay and have fun not to see whose character is more god like than the next. So please do try to keep it real, do not try to dodge every blow as if you are invincible.
    2. Also remember that ranks do not mean anything in para, just because you are a king or a master rank does not mean you are suddenly more skillfull than the next person you must PROVE you are via the actual fight.
    3. However please keep in mind your rank WILL affect your status of fighting in this manner, if you are a knight you cannot use magic. You are a wizard, therefore magic would be your strong suit, in other words do not go against what your character would logically do in a fight; some of us pay attention to this and would know if you are.

Examples of comfirming a blow if you are judging a para-style fight:
Player 1 hits player 2 in the stomach with a great blow and takes his breath. (That is not a legal para-style move.)

Player 1 looks at player 2 and moves hastily with his fist he then delivers a fist to player 2's stomach and then takes a fighting stance. (This would be a legal para-style move.)

Player 1, gives player 2 a chance to accept or decline however keep in mind that if your character was distracted or was doing something, such as his hands where full, these are things you must consider before making your answering move. This blow is not impossible to dodge, but it would be very difficult under certain circumstances, thus your dodge would have to make sense.

There is no time limit on replying to a persons attack so take your time to be descriptive in response; however there is a limit on the lines you can do if player 1 is on an irc that does not have a cut script and they can only type about 40 words and player 2 can type about 100-105 with a different irc, this will not be allowed. Therefore a set number of words per move will be established before the battle begins.

Your character MUST be registered in Cain to participate in a death match BUT you can make your own character bio and put the URL to it in your registration post. It will be reviewed for further explanations of your characters abilities, if any dispute should arise.

You must have a qualified Para judge for matches in dark colliseum.

You may use Para in storylines, but you MAY NOT use it to attack and kill in the main rooms, remember you must remain within the established laws for the Land of Cain.

As with speed fighting; all actions and reactions must be sensible/logical for the characters rank, ablilities and the circumstances involved.

It will be the call of the judge when to end the match. He/She will determine if the match can continue... NO arguements are to be given and the end results accepted.

You must post the kill and follow all guidelines as set forth for posting a legal death in Cain.
