Lich (Liches)

A lich is an undead creature similar to a zombie that possess the same intelligence it did in in it's past life. They are the most powerful of all the undead creatures (even surpassing that of a vampire). A lich can have one to three forms, though having more than one is a rare thing.. Typically liches appear as mummy or skeletal beings, a dead body repossed by it's soul or by the soul of another dead creature having only recently died. Often a lich is the soul of a sorceror, mage, necromancer or other magic user seeking eternal life though there have been known cases of liches who were once warriors. Generally they can be found wearing the tattered rags of the clothing of their lifes profession. The only way for a lich to have more than one for is if they were created by a necromancer. If the original soul of the body possesses that lich will not only possess the powers of the undead but the powers they helled in their former life whether it be race or class ablities. Liches instead of feeding upon blood like vampires and zombies feed upon the fear people feel and think. Once a lich has chosen it's victim it will not stop until it has drained that victim of all it's energy, rendering it dead. Once a lich is repossed by a soul it will not change anymore (as in decaying).

Weaknesses of the Liche

All liches have the same weaknesses. They're lich form is weak to light, therefore possessed liches can never walk during the day while created liches have living mortal form that they take during the day. All liches with the exception of Angelic Liches and Liches who were once clerics (cleric's must have really been played out) are weak against anything Holy (crosses, holy, water, churches in general).

Only ways to kill a Liche

Mummified Lich

A Lich that has been reanimated after a clergyman has preserved the body for burial. This may happen either before or many years after. Generally the features of the lich are mainly still intact. Though if a soul were to reposses the body right away they could pass as mortals.

Skeletal Lich

A Lich who's body was not preserved before burial. This can only happen many years after a creature has died and a soul repossesses it, usually not the same soul that inhabitated the body before.

Elemental Liches

These are creatures that were in tuned with the elements in it's life, or a guaridan of the elements.. Now as a powerful lich they bend these forces to their will to frighten those whom they seek as prey and feed off their fear of these forces. This normally only works on small children therefore they must kill more in order to fully feed.

Created Liches

Created liches are those that are cursed by necromancers for bad deeds they have done in the past. By day they walk as their natrual forms by night as the lich. Often the guilt of knowing what they do at night drives them insane and eventually to their mortal death They are known as the living undead.

Types of Liches (Possessed) 6 Main Kinds:

Angelic Lich

Once a creature of the heavens. Sworn to protect all of the Gods' children from pain and suffering of hell's children. This creature has only been doomed to become on of those who other angels will guard the world from. They use the song of their harps to lure unsuspecting victims to them, then with their grotesque features frighten them into shock in order to feed off of them. Angelic liches still have their wings but typically they are nothing but bones.

Elven Lich

Once a graceful creature in life, a guardian of nature. These creatures now seek to destroy all that they once guarded. Feeding off the pain caused by the death and destruction of the forests, medows, and oceans, not that of mortals alone but that of the woodland creatures as well. The only thing that would give an elven lich away as being such is if the being still had it's flesh intact in order for the their pointed ears to show.

Vampyric Lich

One can only say so much about the Vampyric Lich. An undead creature simpily reanimated. This happens generally when vampire hunters succeed in killing a vampire, a soul comes and possesses the body thereby reanimating it. They can feed upon both blood and fear. A vampyric lich is never reposses by it's own soul, as vampires do not have souls.

Fae Lich

These liches range in manys sizes like the living fae they once were. Like elven liches once guardians of nature they now feed upon not only the fear of the living but the terror they bring upon nature. Fae Liches often keep their wings even if they are skeletal.

Human Lich

A very simple explaination. They were human before their death, all you have to do is look in the mirror to have that much explained. Humans are known for causing destruction and pain even when they live. Once repossessed they still cause pain and destruction and feed upon the pain of it. Human liches are the most common therefore most Human liches can not be told apart from the living.

Draconic Liches

The zombie form of the once majestic dragons who were said to have guarded moutain tops since the dawn of time. These liches are never skeletal. If a dragon's body is not possessed within the first few minutes of it's death the body turns to dust and blows away in the wind. Draconic Liches are known for terrorizing cities and while feeding off of their fear but also for eating the children for fun.
