Greater Deevils


Arch Fiends

Virturally identical to the Fiend, except more poweful and cunning and deadly. These are one of the few deevils who will associate with evil humans, dragons, the demons of Hades and other supernatural beings to get what it wants. Although the Arch Fiend is often a highly regarded officer of Dyval, they frequently operate independently and enjoy causing trouble in the world of mortals.

Size: 15 feet tall, weighing 1000 lbs.

Natural Abilities: nightvision to 90 feet, sees the invisible, metamorphoris at will (human and animal) resistant to fire and cold.

Magic: meld, mulitple image, fear, escape, mystic portals, magic net, circle of fire. fire ball, fiery touch, repel animals, turn dead, animate and control dead, exorcism, banishment, heal wounds.




Horrors

The horror is a hideous monstrosity with dripping mouth and wicked claws, many eyes and gaping maw. It lives to inflict pain and suffering on all living things and is used as a threat to keep the lesser deevils and other minions and devotees in line. Horrors love to torture almost as much as hunting and killing. With wholesale slaughter as their speciality. They are savvy warriors and often eat their opponents (sometimes alive) Despite the monsters' gruesome appearance and savage nature they are surprisingly intelligent and work well in a group. Thus, they are often put in charge of armies of lesser minions and special missions of destruction or murder. The Horror is the symbol of war and destruction.

Size: 20 feet tall, weighs 2000 lbs

Skills: Streetwise intelligence, land navigation and human tracking, reconizes weapons of quality, military etiquette, knows basic math, can climb, swim, (typically uses claws and bites) Literate in elven and two other languages.

Natural Abilities: Nightvision, sees the invisible, turns invisible at will, keen vision plus its many eyes make it impossible to blind or attack from behind or by surprise, can leap 100 feet, impervious to poisons impervious to normal fire and cold (magic fire and cold will slow him down) magically knows all languages.

NOTE: rarely uses weapons, and never wear armor



Serpents

Deevil Serpents appear as beautiful but frighteningly huge, golden serpents with warm brown eyes. They speak in a soft, deep voice that is almost hypnotic in quality. These are the master plotters and tempters of the deevils, skilled in manipulation, blackmail and terror. They usually pull the strings from behind the scenes, but wont hesitate to fight if they have to or think it will be fun.

Size: 20 feet long, weighs 1000 lbs.

Skills: Escape artist of high intelligence, interrogation techniques, surveillance, land navagation, gemology, swims, climbs, basic and advanced math, literate in elven and 6 other languages.

Natural Abilites: Nightvision 90 feet, sees the invisible, turns to mist, metamorphosis at will, resistant to fire, and cold (but these attacks will slow him down, magic fire and cold will destroy him) magically knows all languages

NOTE: uses people, not their toys



Wraiths

Ghostly apparitions of great psionic ability, sometimes called the black spectors, Normal weapons cannot harm them, only magic or magic weapons affect them. The Wraith servers as a master spy and interrogator for its evil masters.

Size: 12 feet tall

Natural Abilites: streetwise intelligence,interrogation techniques, aurveillance, land navigation, heraldry, locate secret compartments, reconize weapon quality, gemology, basic and advanced math, and literate in elven and six others.

Skills via Psionics: Possesses all sensitive and physcial powers plus detect psionics, mind bolt, telekinesis (super) telekinetic force field and shield, and seven others of choice.

NOTE: Can use weapons via, telekinesis and ectoplasm.




Beasts

The Deevil Beast is one of the most ferocious and powerful of all the greater deevils. The massive creature loves to fight but is intelligent, cunning and a good strategist. The visage of the beast is second only to that of the demon Baal_Rog, a towering, red skinned humanoid with bulging muscels, giant crimson bat wings and dark eyes and a head crowned with a pair of large ram-like horns. The upper torso is humanlike while the body is like that of a goat with cloven hooves.

The beast serves as the lieutenant of the deevil lords and it is charged with commanding squadrons or armies of lesser deevils and Dire Harpies, as well as special missions into the world of mortals. One might think of these demonic henchmen as the loyal enforcers of the Deevil Lords and Arch Fiends. Their intelligence and resourcefulness makes them dangerous opponents. Renegades have even been known to establish lairs and entire kingdoms of their own on other worlds, especially among the so-called monster races. Beasts also consort with or ally themselves with powerful practioners of magic, dragons, and other powerful and sinister beings.

Size : 16 feet tall, and weights 2000 lbs

Natural Abilities: Nightvison to 120 feet, sees the invisible, metapmorphosis at will (humanoid or bull) heat and or cold will slow them down but will do no real damage, magically knows all languages.

(Remember all deevils have PSI abilities)

Beasts are strong in magic, having the knowledge of magic and domination, multipule images, magic net, cicle of flame, fire ball, energy disruption, call lightning, turn the dead, animate and control the dead, exorcism, banishment,and heal wounds.

NOTES: Often uses weapons and the devices of man, never wears armor, except as a disquise when metamorphed as a human.
